Women's Camp Eder Retreat 2004

Committee Report of Women's Camp 2004
On Monday June 7th, 84 ladies representing 19 churches in the District gathered at Camp Eder for Women's Camp 2004, hosted by the Chambersburg and Greencastle C.O.B. This years theme was "Women on the Move." The speaker, Victoria Smith from Elizabethtown, spoke on the following topics: "Busy, Busy Women- Really on the Move, Moving Above Forgiveness, Moving out in Praise, & Moving Out in Ministry." Ladies from Shippensburg C.O.B. led the Monday morning worship, while Tuesday morning worship was led by the Bunkertown C.O.B. ladies.

This event also included group singing, craft or free time, entertainment on Monday evening, and a campfire devotion led by Jan Diaz of the Chambersburg C.O.B. An offering which totaled $765 was taken for Camp Eder, and will be used toward playground equipment.

The following are a few of the comments from ladies attending: "God's presence could be felt as you walked alone along the mountain stream, or hiked with friends, both old and new, to the chapel being built at the top of the mountain. You could feel God in all we did." "This was the 1st year I attended. I enjoyed the speaker, the great food, the warm fellowship and the exercises outside early Tuesday morning."

Bunkertown will host the 2005 Women's Camp scheduled for June 6 - 7, 2005. Laurette Connelly & Veda Boyd, a duo called the Odds & Ends, will provide a balance of joy & reverence utilizing clear Biblical presentation and humor to impact lives for the Kingdom.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this years camp, and we hope to see you all next year.
